IPL Therapy also reduces pore size and refines the overall texture and tone of the skin.

How Does It Work?

The visible light delivered by the IPL procedure is selectively absorbed by the pigmented spots on your skin. It's the heating of the pigmented cells that causes the therapeutic effect.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Most pigmented areas will get lighter with each successive treatment until desired result is achieved. The proper course of treatments to attain your desired level of results will be discussed by our medical experts.

What Areas Can Be Treated?

Virtually any part of your body can be safely treated. The face, chest, shoulders, and arms are the most popular areas for treatment because they have typically had the most sun exposure. Both discrete spots and skin densely covered with discolorations respond well to treatment.

Treatment Time:

The entire treatment will take approximately 30 minutes. Since there is no need to apply gel or any topical anesthetic, your total appointment time can easily fit into your lunch hour.

Can All My Spots Be Treated This Way?
Spots formed by sun exposure, age spots, red blemishes and scarring can effectively be treated with the IPL procedure. There are other types of pigmented lesions, such as birthmarks and moles that can also respond to IPL Treatment. Consult with our medical professional to identify the spots most likely to respond well to IPL Therapy.

What Does The Treatment Feel Like?

When the hand piece is placed on your skin, it will feel cool and comfortable. When the pulse of light is delivered, you may feel a mild, brief pinching sensation.

What Can I Expect Post Treatment?

The treated area will typically get darker and sometimes turn a grayish color and become dry. The dry area will typically flake off in 4-10 days. You will need to keep treated area clean and protected from direct exposure to sunlight for 4 weeks. Wearing an SPF 30 is highly recommended.

Before Your Treatment:

No sun exposure 4 weeks before or after your treatment.
